In South Africa the month of August is celebrated as Women’s Month, it is activated to acknowledge challenges and achievements associated with women.

The Gospel 101 team organized a Women Seminar on Saturday 12 August 2017 in Dickson Mission House in Philadelphia, Cape Town.

This was the second Gospel 101 seminar targeting women from various Churches and Communities. Women were invited using various communication tools from e-mail, WhatsApp, SMS and Facebook.

Upon receiving confirmations the team took it upon themselves to organize transport for those who had no access to transport. This worked well as the attendees arrived at the same time allowing for registration and the session to start as scheduled.

The theme of the 2017 women’s seminar was “Women of Value” and the facilitators for the session were the experienced and ready for action teachers: Aleta Kennedy and Carolyn Butler

The session was opened by prayer and the programme started with the Gospel 101 team giving an account of what the Team is all about followed by Brother Rodger Dickson setting the scene for the topic.

More than 30 women attended the seminar, they were from areas such as Mfuleni, Macassar, Bellville, Khayelitsha, Kraaifontein, etc.

The facilitators were very prepared did a great job in cover their topics under the theme Women of Value – they used PowerPoint presentation thus lifting the standard of the event.

The seminar attendees were very happy with the teachings and the studying material they have received after the seminar.

All participants were presented with the Certificate of Attendance designed and printed by Lorna and Sara.

The day ended with a great lunch prepared by the Gospel 101 trusted chef, Brother Barry Jantjies – this was of course a special treat for Women of God.

The Gospel 101 team extended their gratitude to Brother Rodger Dickson for the venue, the facilitator sisters Butler and Kennedy, Sister Lorna and Sara and all the attendees for making the seminar a great success.
