“You will find the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 (Simple English Bible)
A lady in one of the rural churches refused to come to any class of Bible teaching, regardless of the topic or the teacher. She would attend the Sunday morning worship but nothing else. She said she didn’t need to know more because she knew enough!
Christ said these words recorded by John in his gospel. What Jesus said right beforehand was that “if you follow my teaching….!”
The world has its own truth. There are many variations of the truth. A man who took the witness stand in court asked the clerk, “What do you want? The truth. Or the whole truth. Or nothing but the truth. Which one?” So the world has its own standards of fact and truth but often shifts the goal posts to suit the needs of the time.
The truth Christ teaches is 100% truth. There isn’t anywhere else where you can find that these days! That alone is worth a fortune — your salvation.
Be assured that when Jesus taught, it was what we needed to hear whether we like it or not!
