Bavumeleni Board Meeting, Saturday, Jan 26

January 28, 2008

in BCC

To the Friends of Bavumeleni,

A board meeting was held at BCC this morning at 10 am to go over some new business.  First on the list was Primrose’s wedding plans.  As things stand today, she will get married on Saturday, the 12th of April.  Victor’s brother in Germany gets some time off at that time.  Reinaldo’s take on Victor is very positive in that the children, both neighborhood and Primrose’s, seem to really take to him and he seems interested in them.

All the latest required paperwork has been completed for acquisition of the tent property.  Reinaldo is doing the final workup on it today and Steve and Primrose will take it to the Municipality next week for their consideration.  This has been an ongoing goal for 8 years.  We still remain hopeful and know God will release this property to us in His time.  We pray that might be now.

SACM, the new governing covering for BCC has established a USA board with Tom Dumez of Wyoming, Michigan at the helm.  Tom is doing the foundational work for their mission now.  He is an on-fire brother who has visited and worked at our centre and will carry the work on the US side one notch higher.  They have a new building in their sights for this property, so it looks like God is demonstrating His on-time perfection once again.  Tom will be coming to Greeley next Saturday to spend some time with Marty Wallace before Marty leaves for SA.

It was noted today that the BCC costs keep going up with the SA nation.  Our LP gas used for cooking the soups and stews has increased 15% just in the last month.  SA is experiencing random outages daily.  The electrical outages don’t effect us much in Bloekombos as so few people rely on it.

Primrose has been at Anathoth recently for her prayer and fasting time.  It was noted that Pat Stephenson was knocked over twice by a mare with a foal and came near being seriously trampled.  Nearing 83, Pat still acts like one so much younger.  God continues to bless Anathoth as well.

Thank each one of you for your love, concern, prayers and support of the children’s center.

Wayne and Barb
