“It would be good to look back and say, I regret nothing. I have lived life, free from compromise and step into the shadow now without complaint.” A wise man
I’ve always thought that people who are afraid to die, haven’t really lived. After all, we only get one shot at life and it is an imperfectly learned lesson no matter how old we become. Surprises jump out of the trees, problems and crises never seem to end and we appear to be stuck on this monstrous wheel, chugging along at the same old habits that we learned when we grew up.
But life is so beautiful because we only have one to live! Some of my friends believe in reincarnation and I ask them why. Why do we need multiple lives to turn our negatives into our positives? Why do we need to be on this conveyor belt, learning and failing, constantly recycled until we reach some sort of spiritual high? This sounds like people are so stupid and incapable that they must be treated to another regurgitated life in order to accomplish anything positive. And, just to help us out, we’re not supposed to remember anything and start from scratch? Sounds like playing football without a ball and amnesia to boot!
This is where Christians have the advantage. Despite our problems and trials, we are promised a new life and a new home with God! We are afforded complete forgiveness! We have God’s blessings to give us life in abundance without regret or recrimination!
We have life, fully and completely in Christ!
INCREDIBLE!!!!
