“Everyone who does evil, hates the light. He does not come toward the light. He doesn’t want his evil deeds to be exposed.” John 3:20 (Simple English Bible)
Bad behavior is just bad behavior. Sin and evilness are exactly what they describe. There’s no mystery about it. Things are what they are even though people will try to rationalize and excuse the behavior. All sins are clearly defined in the Word although “modern” man makes exceptions or diversions to explain their wickness. They feel an exception should be made in their case and will have all kinds of psychological data to back up their excuses. Perhaps in the world, this sounds pretty good and if we were all to be judged by the world’s standards, we might feel pretty good about things.
God is the final Judge. He will decide what sin and evilness is no matter what anyone says or how loudly they scream and shout. It is our Heavenly Father who will separate the sheep from the goats. And on that day, there will be plenty of goats!
Bad behavior is just bad behavior but when it is a rebellion against God’s authority or targeting a Christian, then it becomes a spiritual statement.
