Revolution!

“Revolution is all about values!” George Carlin.

Probably the most famous revolution was in America. A political party has even named itself after an event during the American Revolution –the Tea Party! It was a tough war, one that Great Britian thought would be an easy win. Even today, Americans are proud of their independence and self-determination.

In the same way, Christians are also in a revolution. We don’t accept the world’s standards, nor will be permit anyone to have authority over our spiritual destinies! Christians are a self-determining people, who’s loyalty is to a King — our Lord, Jesus the Christ. Yes, as citizens, we have responsibilities and rights but we are also governed by God’s Word, the only spiritual pathway to Heaven.

The difficulty arises when Christians protest immorality corruption and evil. By the world’s standards, nothing is “that bad” and anyone else who takes a stand is just anti-social, a hater and unacceptable. Does this mean we just stay quiet and keep a low profile, hoping that no one notices?

Certainly not! Being on the revolutionary frontlines, we will be attacked. We will suffer injury. We will be mocked and derided for our values, faith and hope. What cannot defeat us, makes us stronger! With God’s hand and His eyes upon us, our faith will be the Light and as long as our Light shines, those who are lost and searching will find us.

Stay in the battle! Victory belongs to Christ!
