And we’re back! Greetings from summer. It’s so good to be back in Cape Town after our final flight out of Chicago. It was 26 F and we were freezing in the streets.
New Year Plans
It was quiet over Christmas and the holidays. I kept a low profile so that Sana and I could rest up. Once the word was out, I knew the phone would be ringing constantly. We did manage to have a few weeks to relax, enjoy the hot sun and the quiet.
Normally, the Cape Bible Seminary schedule is set during this month. The summer break ends when schools return and factories re-open. Classes would begin next month except for the Bellville home group hosted by Reinaldo and Lorna Rutter in their apartment. That was started almost right away.
Marty Wallace, who formed part of the Ingwe Care team last year, was staying in our home, caring for our dog and cats. He did a wonderful job and even the pets were sad to see him go! We were so thankful that Marty volunteers without hesitation and really helps where it is needed. Of course, Sana re-organized everything to her specifications, like all women do when their nest has been used by others. [click to continue…]
